POSITION SUMMARY

Texas Inter-Faith Management/40i is a non-profit organization affiliated with The Inter-Faith Group (IFG), which is an alliance of seven independently operated non-profits that share a collective mission to create quality affordable housing and support services to families.  Our team members are expected to embrace, exemplify and uphold our core values of Stewardship, Hard-working, Well-respected, Innovation, and Neighborly cooperation (SHWIN), in order to foster positive relationships both within the organization and with external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be an outgoing, persuasive individual with a 'selling' communication style, who is comfortable meeting new people. This position requires a professional, organized, and detailed individual with excellent computer and communication skills. 

Requirements: Must have lease-up experience preferably with LIHTC affordable housing.

Salary: $15-17 Hourly

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet and qualify prospects.
  • Record all telephone and in-person visits.
  • File and maintain guest cards.
  • Inspect models and available “market ready.”
  • Communicate related service needs to the Property Manager.
  • Demonstrate community and apartment/model and apply product knowledge to client needs by communicating the features and benefits; close the sale.
  • Have prospects complete applications and secure a deposit.
  • Update availability report, and process applications for approvals. (i.e., credit check, rental history, etc.) Submit processed applications to the Community Manager for approval. Follow up with applicant regarding status.
  • Ensure the apartment is ready for the resident to move in on the agreed date.
  • Immediately follow up with prospects
  • Secure new resident signature(s) on appropriate paperwork prior to move-in.
  • Orient new residents to the community.
  • Assist in monitoring renewals.
  • Monitor advertising effectiveness.
  • Gather information about market competition in the area.
  • Always represent the company in a professional manner.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

  • Minimum 1-2 years of leasing experience.
  • Excellent customer service, strong sales, marketing, and data entry skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be familiar with apartment / multi-family leasing and Fair Housing.
  • Apartment software experience is a bonus.
  • Driver’s license required.
  • Bilingual is required
